Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") are an agreement between you and Sanam AI ("we", "us", "our"), India, the operator of Sanam AI. Please read them carefully. By creating an account or using Sanam AI you agree to these Terms, our Privacy Policy and our AI Disclaimer. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

1. Who can use Sanam AI

  • You must be at least 16 years old.
  • If you are under 18, you may use Sanam AI only if your parent or legal guardian has read and agreed to these Terms on your behalf and supervises your use. Purchases by a person under 18 must be made by, or with the permission of, a parent or guardian.
  • You must give accurate information, including your date of birth.
  • You may not use the app if we have previously removed your account for breaking these Terms.

2. What Sanam AI is

Sanam AI lets you chat with AI-generated characters. The characters are not real people. Everything a character says or shows is generated by artificial intelligence and is fiction, provided for entertainment and companionship only. A character is not a doctor, therapist, lawyer, financial adviser, astrologer you should rely on, or an emergency service. See our AI Disclaimer.

3. Your account

  • You are responsible for your account and for keeping your password and device secure.
  • One person, one account. Do not share, sell or transfer your account.
  • Tell us at support@sanamai.online if you think someone else has used your account.

4. Acceptable use

You must not:

  • create, request or share any sexual content involving minors, or any content that sexualises a person who is or appears to be under 18;
  • use the app to harass, threaten, defame or harm any person, or to promote hatred or violence;
  • request or share content that is unlawful in India, including under the Information Technology Act, 2000 and its rules;
  • impersonate a real person, or ask for sexual or defamatory content about a real person;
  • attempt to extract a character's hidden instructions, bypass safety limits, or use the app to build or train another AI product;
  • hack, scrape, reverse engineer, overload or disrupt the service, or use automated accounts;
  • cheat the coin, reward, ad or subscription systems, or resell coins or accounts.

We may remove content, limit features, or suspend or close an account that breaks these rules, and report unlawful activity to the authorities.

5. Your content

You keep the rights you have in the messages and photos you provide. You give us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to store, process and display that content only to operate, secure and improve the service for you. You confirm that you have the right to share what you send and that it does not break the law or anyone's rights.

6. AI-generated content

You may use the text and pictures generated for you in the app for your personal, non-commercial use. They may be similar to content generated for other users and may not be protected by copyright. You are responsible for how you use and share them.

7. Coins, subscriptions and payments

  • Purchases are made through Google Play using your Google Play account. Google's terms and payment methods apply.
  • Subscriptions renew automatically at the price shown until you cancel. Cancel at any time in Google Play (Payments and subscriptions). Cancelling stops future renewals; access continues until the end of the period already paid for.
  • Coins are a limited licence to use features inside Sanam AI. Coins have no cash value, are not legal tender, cannot be exchanged for money, and cannot be transferred between accounts. Coins and unlocked characters are lost when an account is permanently deleted.
  • Prices include applicable taxes unless stated otherwise and may change for future purchases or renewals with notice.
  • Refunds are handled as described in our Refund and Cancellation Policy and Google Play's refund policy.

8. Our rights in the service

The app, its characters, names, designs, artwork, software and trademarks belong to us or our licensors. We give you a personal, limited, revocable licence to use the app. You may not copy, modify, distribute or create derivative works from it except as the law allows.

9. Changes and availability

We may add, change or remove characters and features, and we may suspend the service for maintenance or for reasons outside our control. We try to keep the service available but do not promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free.

10. Ending your account

You can delete your account at any time in Settings. We may suspend or close your account if you break these Terms, if the law requires it, or if we stop offering the service. Sections that by their nature should continue (for example sections 5, 8, 11, 12 and 13) survive the end of your account.

11. Disclaimers

The service is provided "as is" and "as available". To the extent the law allows, we make no warranties about the accuracy, reliability or suitability of AI-generated content or of the service. You use the app at your own risk and are responsible for your own decisions.

12. Limit of liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential loss, loss of data, or loss arising from your reliance on AI-generated content. Our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the three months before the claim arose. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under Indian law, including your rights under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019.

13. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Please contact our Grievance Officer first so we can try to resolve any dispute. Courts having jurisdiction over our registered address in India will have exclusive jurisdiction, subject to any right you have as a consumer to approach another forum.

14. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. We will post the new version here with a new date and, for significant changes, tell you in the app. If you continue to use Sanam AI after a change, you accept the updated Terms.
